They wanted me to emphasize the continuous nature of their care while highlighting the unique differences between their members.

I really resonated with the idea of individuality the center was trying to display, so I took the route visually of focusing on the individual. After different variations, I landed on a collection of five shapes representing people, each similar but all having distinct brush stroke features to differentiate them. Along with the idea of individuality was the continuous care their patients receive, which is why I chose to overlay the figures over one another, representing both the continuum as well as the feelings of connection and community.

This identity was overwhelmingly supported internally and was ultimately chosen to represent Pillar moving forward. The specific pieces of the brand like the brush strokes and figure silhouettes were designed to have a wide range of applications which Pillar continues to use and expand upon.
