The Assignment
As the sole designer for a newly created marketing company, my task was to create an entirely new brand that was both slick and exciting. And I had to do it quickly.
The Process
The founders of Genrevv were insistent on making the symbol two Vs, being the most unique part of the already strange name (which, by the way, means “generate revenue”). I wasn’t automatically sold on the idea, but it was a good starting point for me to experiment. I chose the color green to represent the money that we were making for our clients and thought purple was an outside-the-box compliment to give it that exciting edge. Something to stand out amongst the sea of safe color palettes used by many companies already in the industry (I’m looking at you, blue).
The Results
After many, many iterations the final look emerged and was a smash hit amongst the other members of the company. I had successfully incorporated the Vs while still allowing the icon to stand on its own.
